Opus 5.5 renders a live lava river scene in the browser
The author had Opus 5.5 build a three.js scene of a volcanic lava river and a gnome dome that runs live in a browser, with day-night switching, depth of field and WASD roaming.
HOLY F*CK OPUS 5.5 BUILT ME A LAVA RIVER THAT RUNS IN A BROWSER TAB i asked for a river of lava coming down from an erupting volcano. and right next to it a little dome where gnomes live. by the fire. on purpose it’s not a video and not a prerender. this thing is running live in a browser: → the lava actually flows and cracks as it moves → the volcano keeps throwing sparks → golden hour, blue hour, night, all in one click → a DSLR mode with real depth of field → WASD and you’re walking along the lava river i named it hraunheim. hraun is icelandic for lava, heim is home. the tagline on screen says “where the little ones live by the fire” and i’m a little too proud of that the crazy part is it’s all three.js. no game engine, no install, no 4090. the whole scene gets drawn by your browser in real time, and the lighting switches without reloading the page!!! my laptop sounded like the volcano for the entire recording a few years ago a scene like this meant a studio and a render farm. now it’s a link
