Congratulations to @KarlDeisseroth , Peter Hegemann and Georg Nagel on the Nobel Prize! They turned a light sensor from green algae into a switch for brain cells. My gift to them: an animation of the whole story, from a single swimming cell to a man seeing again, made with Claude Opus 5.5. It's unbelievable what AI can create now. See the comments for the prompt I used.
