Opus 5.5 diagnoses a misfire and builds a code-only V8 animation
Given only symptom descriptions, Opus 5.5 traced the problem to a cylinder 5 misfire, then modeled a full V8 engine from scratch in the browser with teardown, X-ray ignition and code-generated sound.
Opus 5.5 helped me fix the engine on my old car. And then it rebuilt the whole engine in 3D to show me what was wrong. It started with a symptom list. Shakes at idle. No power going uphill. Smells like fuel after a drive. I typed exactly that. No codes, no scanner, nothing fancy. It asked a few questions back - does it get worse when it’s cold, is the shake constant or does it “skip”, any check engine light. Then it narrowed it down to one cylinder. Cylinder 5 misfire. Fouled spark plug + a cracked plug wire. Fuel goes in, the spark never makes it, the fuel just leaves unburned. That’s the shake. That’s the lost power. That’s the smell. One plug and one wire. That was it. The part I didn’t expect - I asked it to show me the engine so I could actually understand what I was looking at. It built the entire V8 in code. Block, heads, valve covers, headers, crank, cam, all 8 pistons, pulleys, belt, distributor. No 3D assets, no Blender - everything modeled from scratch in the browser. Then it took the engine apart piece by piece, in the order a mechanic would. Pulled the bad plug out. Put a new one in. Put everything back and started it up in x-ray so you can see the pistons firing. The sound is code too. The idle, the starter, every click when a part lands. A year ago this was a $150 shop visit and a guy telling me “it’s probably the plugs”. Now I understand my own engine better than I ever did.
