Opus 5.5 Extra generates a 3D whale and moon animation in about 35 minutes
The author used Opus 5.5 Extra to generate a 3D animation video in about 35 minutes, says it turned out better than GPT-6 Astra Ultra, and notes an off-center eye and a text rendering failure near the end.
Alright, so I've "downgraded" to Opus 5.5 Extra for this task because both Ultracode and Max were taking over half an hour just to get going. Maybe I'll leave those running overnight at some point, but for now I wanted to see the result a bit faster. And honestly, I'd say this turned out better than GPT-6 Astra with Ultra thinking. It took around 35 minutes and apparently used 0% of my weekly limit. Obviously it can't literally be zero, so I'm guessing it's something like 0.5% or less. It only used 4% of the 5-hour limit too :D At this point I don't even know what I'm supposed to do with the remaining 96% of my weekly usage over the next two days lol. I guess I'll have to start running some parallel tests with subagents or something. A couple of things I didn't like: the eye felt slightly off-center, and there was some kind of text rendering failure near the end of the video. Other than that, I liked most of it, especially the 3D whale & moon. Stunning graphics.
