Opus 5.5 simulates 10,000 coin flippers and renders a video
A 10,000-person coin-flip simulation run with Opus 5.5, rendered into a video from 87 lines of Python in three seconds, shows the average rising while the median collapses.
I simulated 10,000 people with $100 each taking the same coin flip 50 times. Heads +50%, tails -40%. Every flip pays +5% on average. After 50 flips the average player has $1,057. The median player has $7. 76% lost money. One in four is under $1. A win plus a loss multiplies you by 1.5 × 0.6 = 0.9, so you bleed 10% every two flips. The average goes up only because the luckiest 10 players hold 47% of all the money. Claude Opus 5.5 wrote the simulation and the video: 87 lines of Python, renders in 3 seconds.
