The only Open Source model that I have found remotely usable other than Opus 5.5 has been... you guessed it, the latest DeepSeek Flash 1017. All the other open source models feel "fake" to me vs. Opus 5.5. DeepSeek's latest feels like the first usable one for fractions of cost.
