GPT-6 Sol leaks, screenshots and release rumors

A poster says GPT-6 Sol, and possibly Luna and Terra, is very likely to launch at OpenAI DevDay, framed as pure speculation without evidence.

A reply claims OpenAI has not announced GPT-6 Astra powering chat and that it will be updated with GPT-6 Sol instead.

A user shows a Frieren royal capital scene made with Godot and Blender using GPT-6 Astra, and hopes the rumored GPT-6 Sol, possibly launching at DevDay in three weeks, improves 3D modeling.

A 20x Pro user says many people are hitting "Selected model is at capacity" errors for GPT-6 Astra, Sol and Luna, with nothing on the status page and no word from OpenAI.

A leaker shares a watchlist of possible DevDay releases such as GPT-6 Sol/Terra/Luna, persistent agents and a new image model, saying some clues come from OpenAI's public commits.

A Japanese user wonders whether Sol, Terra and Luna will remain long-term capability tiers rather than GPT-5.6-only names, joking that GPT models will be stuck saying "Sol Sol" forever.

A rumor says GPT-6 Sol is slightly weaker than Astra but faster, much cheaper and just as effective, and could launch at DevDay on September 29 as the second-best model after Astra.

Just after Astra's release, a leaker says OpenAI has already begun testing GPT-6 Sol internally, with a screenshot offered as evidence that its release cadence is not slowing.

A rumor with a screenshot says GPT-6 Sol is in internal testing at roughly 6x Astra's speed in a single test and could launch at OpenAI DevDay on September 29.

A leaker says GPT-6, Sol, Terra and Luna are already outdated internally and that OpenAI holds a near-finished, far stronger model that could put it two generations ahead of rivals.

A Korean AI news roundup reports rumors that GPT-6 Sol is in internal testing days after GPT-6 Astra launched, said to be faster but slightly lower quality, with no official confirmation.
