Kling 4.0 hands-on tests and comparisons

A user notes Runway Max auto-renewed for about $1,000 and other annual plans are due, and says they subscribed to Kling's official Premier plan to use Kling 4, now considering API access via a self-built tool to unify management.

Both models generate a 30-second trailer from the same prompt with no rerolls; the Kling clip is 720p only while Seedance was upscaled via a promotion, and the author shares a simple story-summary-to-time-coded-prompt workflow.

In a 12-model comparison using one kitten prompt, Kling 4.0 placed 5th, hurt by heavy blur and soft body motion in fast actions, trailing Seedance 2.5, Grok and Wan 3.0.

A hands-on tip: Kling 4.0's omni rejects WAV/MP3, but uploading the song as a black-screen MP4 lets a character dance to it, using the prompt "Ruth (image1) dancing to the music in (video1)".

A creator makes an open-air stadium concert clip with Kling 4.0 and Suno v6, sharing the full prompt covering broadcast long lenses, handheld shake, blooming stage lights and 98 BPM hard cuts.

Testing Kling 4.0 on a giant-demon swordfight, the creator found prompt-only output ignored the intended staging while a 10-keyframe version transformed the result, concluding keyframes are key for action scenes.

The user says Kling 4.0 produced fluent Japanese lines and natural acting in a single generation, with the prompt shared in the thread.

The author says Kling 4.0 is unavailable in their setup, and Sjinn offered access for testing; they postponed due to no credits and no CLI support yet.

After testing Kling 4.0, the author recommends omitting negative prompts and ordering prompts as material role, overall setting, timed events, then audio, plus mid and last frames, claiming it beats Seedance 2.0.

The author says Kling 4.0 is now open to everyone and cites its King Card short film as evidence that camera work, realism and storytelling are nearing real film production.

Kling 4.0 is reported live worldwide with native 30-second clips, up to 10 keyframes and 15 multimodal refs per prompt, double Kling 3.0's max length, positioning it against Veo and Seedance.

An unoptimized hands-on test finds Kling 4.0 solid, with action quality about equal to Seedance 2.0 and possibly a daily replacement for Seedance.
