Kling 4.0 hands-on tests and comparisons

A creator uses Kling 4.0 via the SJinn platform to make an ink-wash animation of a dog dissolving into brushstrokes, discussing the contrast of stillness and speed.

A user notes Seedance 2.5 keeps generating someone resembling actor Hidetoshi Nishijima, while Kling 4.0 produces ordinary-looking people instead.

Testing Kling 4.0 with storyboard image references, the author finds it understands camera movement well and keeps environment consistency while characters move, calling it impressive overall.

A user's tests find Kling 4.0 has superior vocal delivery and handles non-standard words better, matches Seedance 2.5 on subtle performance direction, but is marginally worse at camera angles and fast motion.

After trying both Kling 4.0 and 4.0 Flash, the author finds both good and the difference fairly clear, personally preferring Flash mainly for its much faster generation.

The author's takeaways: Kling 4.0 is weak at text-to-video, better at image-to-video but below Seedance, excellent at video-to-video, Omni-reference works well, generations are slow, and it costs roughly 2–4x less than Seedance 2.5.

Tester used Kling 4.0's 10-keyframe control to change only the background across seasons while keeping face, outfit and motion consistent; summer-to-autumn transition still needs work.

The author notes start/end frames were a Kling 3 habit, while Kling 4.0 allows up to 10 keyframes per 30-second clip, each treated as a beat the shot must hit, with a three-step pipeline.

A side-by-side test finds Kling 4.0 Flash costs a third less and nearly matches full 4.0 on simple shots, while 4.0 holds complex prompts better at 90 credits/~2 min versus 60 credits/~75 s.

A daily roundup says Kling 4.0 natively generates up to 30 seconds with up to 15 mixed references and 10 keyframes, its official breakdown shows a continuous opening shot, and API, 4K and 2-minute extensions remain upcoming.

A user tests how far Kling 4.0 can carry a single idea with multiple references and visual elements to keep consistent, instead of standalone shots.

A user tests fast camera moves and multi-character fights, finding Kling 4.0 keeps motion stable even in chaotic scenes.
