Building a motion design studio workflow with Opus 5.5

An eight-step pipeline for Opus 5.5-driven motion design: ffmpeg plus Playwright, a CLAUDE.md with house rules, frame-by-frame seek(t) rendering, and a contact sheet that must score 8+ before rendering.

here's how to set up a motion design studio with Claude Opus 5.5... the trick is the harness, not the prompt, but there's a smart way to set it up: - step 1: install the stack: Node, ffmpeg, Playwright, and Claude Code running Opus 5.5 - step 2: add a CLAUDE.md with house rules, so every video follows them without you repeating anything - step 3: rule one: every film is a function of time, seek(t) draws any frame on demand - step 4: ban the defaults in that file: centered title on gradient, everything fading in, corner labels - step 5: test the setup with the one-line showreel prompt, then switch to real briefs - step 6: for a product, give it the URL and tell it to use real screenshots, the real logo and real colors - step 7: before any full render, it makes a contact sheet, scores it 1-10 and fixes the 3 worst problems until everything is 8+ - step 8: package the whole pipeline as a skill, so the next video is one sentence and the effort setting matters more than people think... medium for small fixes and re-renders xhigh for new films max only when the first 3 seconds have to carry a launch i like to keep one session per brand, the second video comes out faster because the renderer and sound setup already exist
