GPT-6 Astra in Practice: Tests, Use Cases, and Feedback

A post claims OpenAI says a group of AI agents used a model stronger than GPT-6 Astra to produce a solution to the Navier-Stokes problem, which still awaits verification by mathematicians.

A Portuguese-language post says the first proof of existence and smoothness for Navier-Stokes has been published, credited to an OpenAI internal model stronger than Astra, and notes debate over research ethics.

A user points to OpenAI's mention of a "next-generation model significantly more capable than GPT-6 Astra" and says the news is unsettling.

A report says OpenAI spent $6.5M, with a group of agents using a next-generation model stronger than GPT-6 Astra, to tackle a fluid dynamics problem open for about 90 years.

A Spanish-language post relays an OpenAI announcement that a next-generation model, more capable than GPT-6 Astra, produced a multi-agent proof of the Navier-Stokes Millennium Prize problem in under 100 hours.

A Japanese post relays an OpenAI announcement that an internal model far stronger than Astra, run as roughly 10,000 parallel agents, showed solutions blow up in finite time and released Lean formalization code.

OpenAI is holding a GPT-6 user gathering in San Francisco to talk about the model and what to build next, with applications due September 10.

A comparison post says a model only 11 days old outperforms Astra on math, and asks whether OpenAI has now solved math.

Two mathematicians had worked the problem for nearly a year before OpenAI, on hearing of it, sent thousands of agents to finish the last step, with reports of pressure to publish separately.

A self-described former Claude user drawn in by Astra asks Codex power users how to combine gpt sol/terra/luna and Astra for planning and coding.

The author compares built-in image generation in Codex, MiniMax and Grok, calling Codex the strongest, and uses Image 2.5's Sketch mode to turn a doodle into a Demon's Souls boss fight.

A user shares a comparison video of ChatGPT Image 2 and Image 2.5, remarking that OpenAI has followed Astra with new results in math and image generation.
